- The Newfoundland Rock Garden Society is a group of gardeners dedicated to growing alpine/low stature perennials, woodland and other 'esoteric' plants. We meet 6 times per year, on the fourth Wednesday of Sept., Oct., Nov., March, April and May. We meet at 7:30 pm at the Memorial University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden. Membership is only $10 per year....what a deal! We discuss a wide variety of topics from rock garden construction and features, plants groups as travel logs of members who have traveled to interesting 'alpine' regions of the world. Through our affiliation with the North American Rock Garden Society, we often get a yearly international speaker. We often have a spring and fall member plant sale, a great opportunity to obtain some unusual plants or to share extras you might have. All are welcome!
